Redeem: 9

I heard the snow was coming,
and the anticipation swirled up all this anxiety.

But when it got here, that snow,
I breathed it in:
It might be the last snow.

And instead of raging down as if to destroy me,
that snow settled inside of my pores, refreshed.

It breathed life, not death.

This is my promise to you: To breathe you, life.

[redeem, verb: to free from what distresses or harms; to release from blame or debt; to regain possession or recover ownership;
to convert, restore, atone; to save]
