New Year's Day to Boot

We started it off with sleepy brunch,
and then we headed into the woods
for our now-traditional New Year's Hike:

We got home as the sun set,
and Sara and I wandered to a quiet closed-up downtown,
 for dinner on the roof-top
with a view of all to come.
