Redeem: 5

I want to say this, simply.

Recently God has wound up His pitching arm,
[what? did I really just use a baseball analogy?]
...
Anyway, in what feels like some kind of grand finale,
recently God has wound up His pitching arm
and thrown me memory after memory.
Crucial things have been revealed,
and if we're ever going to step into next,
they needed to be unlocked.

It has been five years of this, actually,
Him unlocking thing after thing.

And the two things I want you to know about that are:
1) This time has not been wasted
and
2) I am counting on Him
[and asking Him and sometimes downright begging Him]
that He is doing the same for you.

[Is He? Are you letting Him? Are you racing here, to me?]

And then maybe I'll remind you of a memory we can share:
Do you remember [way back when]
when I told you that He used you
to start me on this journey to free?

[He knows what He's doing.]

I just feel like it's simply important,
that you know and remember this.

[redeem, verb: to free from what distresses or harms; to release from blame or debt; to regain possession or recover ownership;
to convert, restore, atone; to save]
