Redeem: 12

There stand you, and here stand I.

I am fine here, on my own;
you would be ok too.
But instead I'm called
and you're anointed:

I am tall, but you are taller
I step in and you step over
Under the protection of your cover
I tuck myself yours, for now for ever

There stand you, and here stand I.

And sometimes I am just struck dumb,
by the beauty of it all.

[redeem, verb: to free from what distresses or harms; to release from blame or debt; to regain possession or recover ownership;
to convert, restore, atone; to save]
