Israel Edition: Wednesday

This day opened with yet another talk,
and then we watched the babies making music as they do, before getting on a bus for a whirlwind tour of the north.

We saw:

The city of Cana, as in, water turned to wine:
[Countryside...]

They call this, The Sea of Galilee:
On its banks, the church of the Multiplication of the Loaves & Fishes,
because, traditionally, this is where it went down:

And then, just down the street,
the church on the alleged site where Jesus re-instated Peter,
 and laid out breakfast
 on this rock.

[Please note, I am standing in the Sea of Galilee.]
 A plum, my first, ever:
And then we were in Capernaum,
 at Peter's mother-in-law's house,
the only holy site they know for sure.
 Across the way, a synagogue,

with the ruins of the village between.

Then, I had a mini pear.
[Hydration.]

And then we were on to Akko,
 wherein we found more falafel.
I wandered The Old City market with a new friend then,
wherein we were greeted by this poor mewling cat,
hovering directly over
these aromatic spices.
There was much more to see along the winding old streets,

and then we were at the Port of Akko,

dripping, I might note, with sweat.

But then, we were on to Haifa,
 home of the Behai Gardens,
at the top of Mount Carmel [as in, Elijah].

We were there for dinner,

and many of us chose this very cool place,

wherein I found a bowl I own...
on the roof with the cats.

And that, was Excursion Wednesday.
