To Rest, Taste, Restore

I hit the summer and heard: Rest.

I hit Madison and realized: I am so, freaking, tired.

When I woke one morning to find a rainy windy view from my window, I threw out my plans to explore local coffee shops
and ordered myself up some breakfast in bed.
How could this deliciousness not restore me?
I climbed into that coziness,
drizzled syrup over these lemon blueberry babies,
indulged even, in maple whipped cream.
I took my time, and tasted every bite.
I gathered the coffee to myself,
and reflected deeply with the Lord.

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
~Psalm 34:8
