A month ago, mid-week found me in NJ
spending quality with precious ones,
saying what we thought could be good-bye
to this fierce sweet lady.
She held out--because that is who she was--
and then yesterday she flew away.
She was quiet and unassuming,
but she drove us with her strength
and made us who we are.
We do not even know yet, all the ways that we will miss her.
