I awaken to the song, rolling through my head:
You hear us calling, You hear us calling,
Abba Father, Abba Father.
This picture of "Daddy" makes me think then,
of when Jesus said:
how I have longed to gather you,
as a hen gathers her chicks under her wing
I lie there, a bit; in His Mothering.
I think of how I rolled off to sleep,
my deep calling out to His Deep Deep Deep:
My soul finds rest in God alone;
my victory comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress where I will never be shaken. [Psalm 62]
On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings. [Psalm 63]
Mystery rolled into Metaphor,
placed on my palm;
I put my eyeball close,
and roll it around,
to Seek. to See.
