When the friend returns to town,
and you mix the drinks and sit out by the pond,
and after you go deep a while
you retreat inside to whip up some dinner,
and when the other friend joins you
you sit out in the cooling air
and laugh and have a heart warm time,
and then you climb on the bed to talk into the late.
