When you've been so exhausted every night since being on this little trip that you've konked out pretty much as soon as you touched the bed, and so you come back from the beach wind-strewn and grimy and feeling all chilled, take a warm shower in your sweet little bathroom and make a warm tea at the never-ending-hot-beverage set-up just outside your door, and climb under the covers, to read, while the hummingbirds go at it still, just beneath your window.
