Chicago, I Have Loved Thee: Day 3

Friday: Wake up, quite early. Go and see the sunrise. Go to the meetings, wander the church, be reminded that the Word of the Lord endures forever (which He's been saying to you for weeks now, so that just seems timely). Go to more meetings and then go find falafel. Be very happy about it. Make your way to the old historic theater, and lose your mind approximately 900 times. Buy a beer and take in the perfect seat you somehow procured at midnight the night before. Take the L home and walk the few blocks, reveling in the nightlife and that here you are, a part of it.

Chicago, I Have Loved Thee: Day 2

Thursday: Wake up, get ready, go sit by the lake. Walk to the church where the meetings are, and have them, and finish them. Take the L to the Fountain. Let someone take your picture when they insist upon it. Be a little glad you did. Walk and see the architecture and the scene and the fancy building within which you will order Shake Shake. Eat. Wander home in summer waning twilight. Stay up, quite late. Drink chamomile tea in your cozy bed and reflect on how much you are loving this unexpected little trip.
