When you crawl out of bed on an icy morning,  

but feel no need to crawl out of your pajamas.

When you have had a contemplative day, delving into a variety of books on a variety of different subjects spinning around your life, and yet all of them allide, and you write down your notes and make your marks on the pages as night descends and the deep quiet reigns, made all the more precious by the realization that in a few short moments, two girls who have been begging for a sleepover will arrive with all of their teenage burst and boister, and all of these things will be tucked away, for later.

When your capacity for christmas is small this year, yet you live in a magical cottage, you have a small cottage gathering.

When your parentals have finally moved into the century, 

thus enabling real relationship, i.e. texting.

When you arrive home to discover that so taken were you by your winter wonderland morning,
you left the house and never even shut the door.

When you stand at the crux of a new moment, and notice the address book of all who have mattered, who have brought you up to now.

When you have a meeting scheduled with the colleague, but you jump right into the deep philosophical things and it is clear that this will look much more like friendship, and so you take the picture for your moment of the day; when you cannot help but keep on talking and suddenly you end up in church and this new friend is prophesying in power over you and it is clear that the Lord had much more in mind for this meeting than you knew, and as you leave you know His regard for you in this gift, feel yourself wrapped in a Holy Spirit blanket, from which you do not ever want to emerge.
