Today I am Loving {16b}

When the laughter is deep to your soul, and then, when it is time and without any directive word, you each move to your by-now-assigned role in the preparation of THE MEXICAN MILKSHAKES.

Today I am Loving {16a}

When you arrive home having made it to Thursday (but gosh it feels like Friday) and the early summer breezes are (finally now just) blowing and your girls (whom you haven't seen in, like, forever) are coming over soon for dinner, and this just seems appropriate.

Today I am Loving {16}

When campus is so quiet and you are walking downtown to a lunch meeting, and you run into two different people you haven't seen in a while, and both of them smile at you with such "it is good to see you" and you feel like it is good, to be where you are.

Today I am Loving {15a}

When the Director for whom you are the "Associate" takes you to lunch to say "job well done!" and you return to your favorite Grad Assistant handing you a gift to say "I will miss you now that I am done" and you laugh with your current Administrative Wizard about the eccentricities of things-around-here, and you just think: Good. And grateful.

Today I am Loving {15}

When you discover that you are in a week of recovery from far too little sleep, and you climb out of your bed at 7:28 when you need to leave your house by 8, for coffee with pastor/friend, and somehow arrive there 8 minutes ahead of schedule.

Today I am Loving {14}

When God said "The cottage is yours" in a season where much was floating through the air, and you went to see it just as the dogwood began to bloom, and--the dogwood tree being the first tree you remember noticing as a small child, the first you remember thinking "This, this I love"--you took it as a sign, and every year when the dogwood blooms, you remember: His care for you.

Today I am Loving {13a}

When the piano babies flit like fairies around your magical cottage while their siblings have their turn, you never know what you might find left as a gift when they leave.
