and you think: This is where I have been needing to be.

When you are walking down a street that looks out of options, but take one block further, just to see, and step into another time, with food, divine.

When your girls come over, and together, you cook.

When the friend with whom you met weekly for exactly the same fare returns from her long trip away and you meet up for a reunion, 

you go all rogue and order the blueberry pecan waffle, 

with absolutely no regrets.

When (confession) you went for the fro-yo with the Wednesday night girls, and then went back the following after-the-packing night, but the young one who is dear to you and with whom you have a walking date on a beautiful evening after at-least-nine-months of no-catching-up texts to ask how you feel about some sweetness for your walk and you shrug your shoulders and text back "Yes, I think it's necessary."
